1. Information we collect

Transcriptr may collect basic account information such as your email address, name, avatar, authentication provider, plan status, billing status, and account timestamps.

When you use the product, we may process video URLs, transcript text, summary outputs, generated rewrites, chat messages related to extracted videos, usage limits, and technical logs needed to operate the service.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide authentication, extract and display transcripts, generate summaries and takeaways, operate paid plan access, enforce usage limits, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Authentication data

If you sign in with email, Google, Facebook, Apple, or another provider, authentication data may be handled by Supabase and the selected login provider. We store only the account information needed to identify your Transcriptr account and manage your plan.

4. Transcript and AI processing

To provide summaries, key takeaways, rewriting, and chat features, transcript content and related prompts may be sent to AI service providers such as OpenAI. You should not submit sensitive, confidential, private, or legally restricted content unless you have the right to process it.

Transcriptr may temporarily process video audio, metadata, transcript segments, and generated outputs to make the feature work.

5. Payments

Payments and subscriptions are handled by third-party payment providers such as PayPal or another supported checkout provider. Transcriptr does not directly store full card numbers or CVC codes. We may store safe billing identifiers, subscription status, plan name, and renewal or cancellation information.

6. Cookies, analytics, and local storage

Transcriptr may use cookies, browser storage, or similar technologies for login sessions, product preferences, saved UI states, security, analytics, and understanding how users interact with the website.

If analytics tools are added, they may collect usage events such as page views, clicked buttons, feature usage, approximate device/browser information, and referral sources.

7. Sharing information

We may share limited information with service providers needed to operate Transcriptr, including hosting, authentication, AI processing, payments, email, analytics, and error monitoring providers. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the security of the service.

8. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or maintain product records. Retention periods may vary by data type.

9. Your choices

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your account information. Some information may need to be retained for billing, fraud prevention, legal, or security reasons.
